Release Notes: If the scrolled window option is selected, the scrolled Memory Channel window will be displayed on top of other windows after importing memory channels from a CSV file, clearing or sorting channels, or swapping banks. A bug which occurred when a user tried to import a memory channel CSV file has been fixed. A bug which occurred when a user tried to save the template before opening a template or reading from the radio has been fixed.
Release Notes: New choices permit a user to edit memory channels using a tabbed notebook applet or view them in a simple, scrolled window. The tabbed notebook works best with at least 512 MB of RAM, but may not work under Windows XP. A new command to swap 2 memory banks was added. The Main window will appear on top of other windows when the program first starts.
Release Notes: This release includes a new command under the Data menu which clears all memory channels. This is useful before importing a memory channel CSV file if you want to override the current channels instead of merging the channels in the file with the current channels. If you import a CSV file without first clearing memory channels, the channel information in the CSV file will be merged with the current channel information. A duplicate frequency check is now available in the Data menu, and a bug has been fixed in the cleared channel logic when reading ADMS3 files.
Release Notes: Users may sort memory channels by frequency or by label within individual banks. The radio version information is read directly from the radio, saved in the .tk500rc (or t500.ini) file, and is used when writing back to the radio, independent of what the user identifies as the version. The Serial Communications fields are now visible at all times.
Release Notes: Improvements include new frequency and mode controls for 10 Guard frequencies. These are the preprogrammed selections for Preset channel 0. The Enhanced mode logic has been changed to permit the radio to remember the NAM and User Port menus even after using Preset mode. If the radio is designated as an Export or Japanese version, tk500 will no longer warn of frequencies which are blocked in the USA version.
Release Notes: Improvements include new controls for VFO frequency, VFO mode, VFO tuning step, Fast tuning step, Smart Search Continue, and Set Menu Item menu. The VFO settings have been organized into a new, separate window. Memory channel import from a .csv file now tolerates lines with missing trailing fields (i.e., too few commas). The serial port may now be a symbolic link or a character special file, to ease installation on Mandrake Linux systems. Two minor bugs have been fixed.
Release Notes: The latest version of tk500 supports Japanese version radios, as well as USA and Export versions.
Release Notes: New balloon help windows popup over various widgets and may be disabled at user discretion. A bug which caused an error when writing to the radio twice in a row during the same session has been fixed.
Release Notes: Improvements include support for both USA and European version radios and new widgets for User Port, bank scan, battery save, scan resume, display, and lamp settings. Memory banks may be linked for scanning.
Release Notes: This release can force the radio into an enhanced configuration and choose narrow or standard AM modes. The ability to view, alter, and clear all VFO Skip frequencies, display contrast adjustment, and cancel pending radio read and write operations has been added. There is enhanced recovery after radio read or write errors.
