Timer Applet is a countdown timer applet for the GNOME panel. You can quickly set a timer and be notified when it finishes. The applet uses a subtle animation and libnotify for notifications, so it lets you continue working while keeping you aware that the timer has finished. You can also add multiple Timer Applets to the panel to have different timers running simultaneously. Timer Applet is small, unobtrusive, and follows the GNOME Human Interface Guidelines.

Release Notes: Timer Applet now features a countdown animation with a "pie" meter, one-click selection of timer presets, streamlined saving of new presets, and periodic redisplay of the notification bubble for a finished timer until the user stops it. A new GConf key lets users enable notification beeps on a computer's internal speaker, and a D-Bus API allows third-party scripts and applications to manipulate Timer Applets. The applet has been completely rewritten in Python.

Release Notes: libnotify support was added. The timer now uses a pulsing button animation rather than a dialog to indicate that a timer has finished. A libnotify notification balloon also pops up momentarily. The applet now hides the Presets menu if it's empty. New translations were added for Esperanto (eo), Finnish (fi), Italian (it), and Korean (ko). Lots of code refactoring and clean up was done. Timer Applet now requires GTK+ 2.8 or later and libnotify 0.3.0 or later.

Release Notes: Customizable notification sounds were implemented. Right-click menu items were provided for pausing, resuming, restarting, and stopping the timer. There is now also a presets submenu for starting presets. A Turkish translation was added and then Swedish translation was updated. Various bugs were fixed.

Release Notes: This release features mainly bugfixes and minor tweaks to polish up Timer Applet. The applet now properly handles customized panel backgrounds (such as transparency), and it places the remaining time below the timer icon when the applet is on a horizontal panel that is larger than a certain size or when it is on a vertical panel.
