Release Notes: A bug with pasting garbage characters from Windows under cygwin was fixed. A bug with double-byte characters or international characters when eglibc is used was fixed. Tgif.EnableTrueColorImages may be set to "true" only if tgif is compiled with zlib support. Starting with this version, if one has a TrueColor display, Tgif.EnableTrueColorImages is set to "true" by default. Support was added for a new built-in double-byte input method, tgchgb, to support the input of gb2312 encoded simplified Chinese characters using a graphical zhu-yin-fu-hao keypad (which would also accept pinyin directly).
Release Notes: This release fixes bugs with parsing Tgif.AdditionalFonts, copying and pasting in cygwin, copying UTF-8 characters in cygwin, and positions of true color (i.e., ppm_true) objects not showing up correctly when Tgif.EnableTrueColorImages was set to "true". It adds InsertSymbol(), a very simple right-margin feature when entering text, and overlines for text objects.
Release Notes: Bugs with rotated circles and <ALT>c not working on Mac OS X were fixed.
Release Notes: The ability to export in SVG format was added. A "configure" script was added for building tgif. "Structured splines" were added where cubic Bezier curves are used. All the colors on a TrueColor display are used for X11 pixmap and JPEG objects. For double-byte characters, copy and paste from UTF8 strings was enabled. A colorwheel can be used to choose colors. The Tangram Whiteboard feature was integrated into tgif on Linux machines.
Release Notes: Fixes bugs with the create_arc_obj() internal command, measurements in the ruler window, "tgif -print -pdf", and copy and paste in Cygwin. Uses the X Selections mechanism to perform copy and paste. Adds support for linking to an external JPEG file to save file size. Adds support for Tgif.PSFontNeedCharSubs and Tgif.PSCharSubs.* so that some characters in the non-ASCII portion of a non-iso8859-1 font can be replaced by user-specified PostScript characters. Adds Tgif.DrawTextFuncKey_F# so that a function key can be associated with a list of internal commands in the text drawing mode.
Release Notes: A bug with image map generation was fixed and "eq4.sym" and "eq4-2x.sym" were replaced. These new LaTeX equation symbols do not use pstoepsi or ps2epsi and only require latex, dvips, and gs to function. A new "pstoepsi" internal command was added(<target_eps_path>,<src_ps_path>,<scale>).
Release Notes: Fixes for a Meta key problem with Mac OS X (Darwin), a bug with importing an EPS file generated by ps2epsi, and tgif to be able to import an EPS file with an 8 bit-per-sample preview bitmap. tgif works with out-of-the-box xcin on Red Hat Linux. Support was added for a new built-in double-byte input method, tgtwb5, to input big5-encoded traditional Chinese characters. tgwb now has chat capabilities. A new command line option "-sbim xim" was added to use XIM as the input method for single-byte fonts, and a new LaTeX equation symbol file "eq4-lyx-ps2epsi.sym" was added to edit the equation with LyX. "ru.po" was also updated.
Release Notes: This release moves tgif's home from UMD to USC, handles the case where no domain resources are specified, supports a new compiler option, -D_XPM3TOPPM, adds more information in the tooltip, and adds a new LaTeX equation symbol file "eq4xpm.sym". A bug in tgwb when a text object is being edited has been fixed. This version also adds and obsoletes some X defaults, and updates the Reliable IP-multicast Library.
Release Notes: QPL licensing, updated contact info in the About menu, a fix for a bug with "on_resize=" attribute when multiple objects have the same name, a fix for a bug with Tgif.DeleteCmdAsCut, a fix for a bug with the select_each_obj_and_exec() internal command, a fix for an uninitialized variable bug (which causes things to fail when running tgif with -print -eps commandline options), and more.
Release Notes: Fixes for a crashing bug in Specify An Arc when specified radius is less than 1, an uninitialized variable bug when running tgif with -print -xbm options, a bug with exporting landscape TiffEPSI files, and a bug with displaying text objects when Color Layers are used and some colors are turned off. Scroll support for mouse wheel, new Tgif.tmpl-cgywin and Tgif.tmpl-uw7 files, and a new X default (Tgif.DeleteCmdAsCut) so that Ctrl+x can be used to cut selected objects.
