TCVP

TCVP is a modular and configurable audio and video player, transcoder, and streamer. Most popular file formats and codecs are supported. It can be used from the command line or with a GUI. A flexible skin-based GUI is included, as well as a converter for XMMS/Winamp skins.

    Release Notes: The player core was rewritten, the module interfaces were generalized and improved, and several modules were added. Various minor improvements and bugfixes were made, though there were few directly user visible changes. The license was changed to MIT/X11.

      Release Notes: Experimental DVD menu support has been added. A fix for some broken AVI files has been added. FFmpeg 0.4.8 is now supported. Various minor tweaks and fixes have been made.

        Release Notes: Command line options to override title information have been added. Files with discontinuous timestamps are now played correctly. Support for MPEG video elementary streams has been added. A few minor bugs have been fixed.

          Release Notes: A remote control interface was added along with new command line options for remote control. The ability to save video frames as JPEG images was added and some bugs were fixed.

            Release Notes: Support for AAC, Sun/NeXT AU, and AIFF file formats has been added. AAC encoding and decoding is supported. A bug in the audio output layer has been fixed. Timestamps for MP3 data have been corrected. Xing header support has been added. CDDB support has been improved. Various bugs have been fixed, including a few Makefile bugs that caused the build to fail on some systems.
