Re: Missing a critical Feature...
Colors will be added, for each block you will be able to specify 2 colors and it will be combined like now the 2 global colors.

about adding your own ascii. can you describe more ?

you want something like:

set adv_structure { etc...

and every block of text that is not definable will be added normal as it is ?

Re: Missing a critical Feature...
Oh! Ok well i reran the bot config file with the patched version of 3.6-9 and i like the custom advertisements - but i think i was rather vague in my original post - could it be possible to define your own intro ascii for the bot? for example:

"

The test in the "s would be define by the user, as well as any colors they would want to use. is this sort of customization on the drawing boards, or am i dreaming? other than that i love this script!

Re: Missing a critical Feature...
Hey justin
never saw you pasted comment here sorry.

advertise customize is available in latest version/cvs
about nickserv i'll add that very soon because i got many
requests for this and i don't think scripting support will be added soon, so....

Thanks,
Roi

Missing a critical Feature...
would it be possible to add an option for the bot to IDENTIFY to nickserv if it's on DALnet? most of the channels i serve in require registered and identified nicknames in order to enter the channel. also what about customizing the advertisement sent to the channel? could you possibly write a README on how to do this or offer a version that allows this? other than that the script rocks. i get a much higher upstream on my linux box as opposed to serving from my windozer machine.

Re: Masq support
Hmm, I checked again and the fileserver connects first to the irc server and by that
it finds the ip it used but i guess in masq it gets the lan ip.

I'll add option in Config.tcl to allow to specify an external ip address for masq machines
like yours.

btw, if you want faster answeres you should email me. i check mails all the time.

maybe an extra parameter '--masqip=out.side.ip.here', so it will tell it's outside ip when requesting a dcc chat?

It doesn't get your internal but the external, if you are in a lan its just you need it to get
the gateway ip instead, and I have no idea how to make it, hmm I'll try something but can't promise anything.

Masq support
I'm behind a masquerading router, and all incoming traffic is sent to a local ip, but the fserve sends my internal ip, could you add masquerading support / external ip support?
