Projects / Tapps

Tapps is an advanced PHP poll system with some neat features: single and multiple answers possible, optional referer check, optional IP locking, optional cookie check (including an option to force the user to accept the cookie), optional email confirmation, database backend, paranoiac user input validation, and a nice admin interface.

After spending the better part of a week surfing Poll and Survey scripts, installing, uninstalling, and so forth... this script was the cure to my dilemma. I simply wanted a poll (just one, this script offers the ability for more) that would integrate seamlessly as an include file on a page on a web site, would be lightweight on the mySQL tables, would auto-expire, would allow up to 10 selections within about 30 choices, and would block double-voting by both IP and cookie. This is it. Plus, not for nuttin', the one problem I did have (which was my own outrageous oversite) was responded to by the author... within TWO HOURS! Hard to get sad after that, y'know? ;-)

Update: Per more recent correspondence, I'm looking forward to an upgrade of the script that will accomodate some expanded features.
