Release Notes: sar, pidstat, and mpstat now stop and display their average statistics when they receive a SIGINT signal (crtl/c). pidstat now displays the task's UID for all tasks. The option -U has been added to pidstat; this option tells it to display the username of the task instead of its UID. When this option is followed by a user name, only tasks belonging to the specified user are displayed by pidstat.
Release Notes: A new field has been added to sar -u and mpstat: %gnice (time spent running a niced guest). A new field has been added to sar -r: kbdirty (amount of memory waiting to get written back to disk). Support has been added for the systemd service manager. The sysstat init script has been updated to make it better conform to the LSB.
Release Notes: Option -[0-9]+ has been added to sar to show the data of that many days ago. iostat and sar have persistent device names support. A new option (-t) has been added to sadf: This option tells sadf to display the timestamps in the local time of the data file creator instead of UTC.
Release Notes: The options -g and -T have been added to iostat; these options enable the user to display statistics for groups of devices. sadc now overwrites its standard daily data file when this file is from a past month. The time format has been changed from HH-MM-SS to HH:MM:SS in the various reports displayed by sadf. A maxOccurs indicator for the timestamp element has been added in the XSD document. The option --enable-collect-all has been added to the configure script to tell sadc to collect all possible activities, including optional ones. A new translation file has been added for Croatian.
Release Notes: A new output format has been added to sadf: JSON (JavaScript Object Notation). Several bugs have been fixed in sadf XML output, DTD, and XSD documents. A random crash with iostat -N has been fixed.
Release Notes: A new option has been added to sar: it can now take a snapshot of all the USB devices currently plugged into the system. The option -h has been added to iostat to make the device utilization report easier to read with long device names. A bug has been fixed with cifsiostat that didn't count open files from the "Posix Open" column in the /proc/fs/cifs/Stats file. NLS has been updated: an Esperanto translation has been added.
Release Notes: sar now tells sadc to read only the necessary groups of activities. New metrics have been added to sar (number of tasks waiting for I/O to complete, and amount of active and inactive memory). nfsiostat now takes into account the POSIXLY_CORRECT environment variable. sar and iostat no longer assume that device-mapper major number is 253 (it gets the real number from the /proc/devices file).
