Release Notes: This is a bugfix release for the 11.11 version released earlier. Two serious bugs have been fixed, one which caused RemoteTrx to crash on disconnections and another which could cause a transmitter to hang in certain setups.
Release Notes: The main focus in this release was to get the Qt code (e.g. Qtel) moved from using Qt version 3 to Qt version 4. Note that the Qtel config will be lost when installing the new version. A number of bugs have been fixed, both in Qtel and SvxLink, and smaller additions to existing features have been made.
Release Notes: This release has support for the ALSA sound system. A better audio codec, Speex, is now used in EchoLink connections between SvxLink nodes, improving the audio quality a lot. A new module, PropagationMonitor, will announce propagation alerts sent out from vhfdx.info or gooddx.net. A new module, SelCallEnc, is used to send selective calling sequences by DTMF commands. RemoteTrx now has a simple fallback repeater mode if the connection to the SvxLink core is lost. SvxLink Server configs are now stored in /etc/svxlink. A new directory layout for event handler scripts and language packs.
Release Notes: The server has a new DTMF decoder and a new tone detector. The SpanDSP library is no longer required. The RemoteTrx protocol has been improved with audio compression and authentication. The EchoLink module is now able to register itself on the EchoLink "link status" page. APRS functionality has been added so that position and other useful info can be sent to the APRS network. Qtel has three new translations: German, Spanish, and Italian. A number of bugs have been fixed.
Release Notes: This is mainly a bugfix release. The previous release was very unreliable and had a number of flaws that are now fixed. If you are running the 080518 release, you should upgrade.
Release Notes: The most important change in this release is internal. Most of the audio handling code in SvxLink has been rewritten. This has made it possible to implement a couple of new features and will make it easier to implement audio related features in the future. Other changes include a remote transmitter via TCP/IP, usage of left/right stereo channels as two mono channels, a signal level based squelch type, and a number of bugfixes.
Release Notes: The biggest change in this release is that a third-party DTMF decoder is now used in the SvxLink server software. This is a much better implementation than the one used previsously. Other than that, it's mostly bugfixes and compatibility changes.
Release Notes: Support for remote receivers linked over the Internet has been added. To be able to use multiple receivers, a simple signal strength detector was implemented. CTCSS tone transmit has been implemented and the CTCSS squelch detector has been improved, which makes it possible to run SvxLink with the squelch open. DTMF muting and squelch tail elimination has been added, and there are a couple of other changes and bugfixes.
Release Notes: The bug that made the SvxLink server crash when recording voice mails on distributions other than Fedora has been fixed. A couple of other bugs have been fixed. A new "connect by call" feature in the EchoLink module has been added. The voicemail module can now send a notification email when a new voicemail arrives for a user. Log entries in the log file are now timestamped. It is now possible to use both DTR and RTS together for PTT, which is required by some interface boards.
Release Notes: A serious bug in the networking code that caused the SvxLink Server to crash or hang was fixed. A new module for handling voice mail was added.
