Release Notes: The helper module now compiles with kernels 2.6.16 and later. LRMI-0.9 now works. PCI IDs of new ATI and nVidia chipsets have been added. The Makefile has been cleaned up.

Release Notes: lrmi was reverted to 0.6 (0.9 is available as a compile-time option). Better support was provided for the Radeon X chipset. A compilation fix was made for the module for kernel 2.6.14 and later.

Release Notes: Update of the included lrmi to release 0.9. Patches including bugfixes for many drivers, making the "no helper" option selectable at runtime, and some core sytem cleanups.

Release Notes: Module changes for compiling with very new kernels. The VESA driver now works in NO_HELPER mode. Patches to get the VESA driver to work on some cards, and to support programmable mode timings with the VESA driver and VBE3 cards.

Release Notes: A new driver for VIA unichrome (EPIA-M board). The i810 driver works. New Radeon and Geforce models are supported. The Trident driver works with digital output (notebook LCDs). There is a compile time option for not requiring the kernel module.

      Release Notes: Support for Banshee, Voodoo3, Riva TNT, Riva TNT2, SiS 5597/6326/530, i740 and Neomagic has been added. A fix was made for a compilation problem with gcc-2.95. Changes to signal handling were made.

        Release Notes: /dev/mem file descriptor is closes at vga_init. This breaks linear support in non-PCI cards; many modes were added to the list of modes, including 16:9 aspect ration modes; support for arbitrary modes, so the user can create any modes wanted by defining them in config file and the program can add any mode by calling the add_mode function.
