superpodder

SuperPodder is a lightweight podcast downloader. It features a text based history file that prevents duplicate downloads, a simple XML format for storing your feeds, a simple user interface that gives a detailed overview of download progress, and the ability to specify how many downloads you want from a particular feed. SuperPodder supports RSS feeds containing torrent files.

    Release Notes: Better and consistent color coding of the different state the feed download is in. A feature that keeps track of how many download failures per RSS feed there were. This helps to identify RSS feeds that do not provide any new podcasts or do not contain correct information.

      Release Notes: This release generalizes how feed parsers are hooked up. A log window for users has been created. An HTTP connection bug has been fixed. Upgraded to the ROME RSS feed library 1.0. There is better parsing of date formats. Delayed stop functionality has been removed. This release enhances how the ROME library extracts podcast locations. RSS feed files are downloaded before extracting podcasts.

        Release Notes: This release has an updated interface and support for torrent files encoded in RSS feeds.

          Release Notes: The ant build file was updated. Exception handling was improved for the RSSLib4J parser. Color coding is done for downloads. Download errors and failures are tracked in the repository. The Help-->Content text was updated and was made bold. An updated version of RSS feeds was added for testing. URL extraction was updated to handle items in the RSS feed that contain no podcast (URL). Some exception messages were rephrased. Date comparison of items was modified to extract most recent podcasts.
