Staden Package
The Staden Package is a set of interactive tools for DNA sequence assembly and editing, as well as DNA and protein sequence analysis, the best known of which is "gap4".

Release Notes: The main changes in this release, in addition to the usual round of bugfixes, are the support in Gap4 for very large databases (64-bit file sizes), support for traces from the "454" instrument, and support for a new SNP Candidates plot, allowing visualization of likely SNPs or collapsed repeats and tools to split these into their constituent haplotypes. In addition, substantial speed improvements have been made.

Release Notes: Primarily Gap4 changes. This includes new plots and search functions designed to highlight sequence variations (or misassemblies), template status improvements, and a multitude of more minor adjustments and bugfixes.
