Release Notes: The login window now allows you to save all parameters to a file and to load parameters from previously saved files. A Jasper Report Viewer based on Jasper classes was integrated. Database Info has been extended. You can now set a table name filter pattern, and create files using Graphviz dot notation to visualise databases. SQL Monitor offers some helpers, accessed by pressing the middle mouse button within the pick list item window.
Release Notes: This version has a new utility to import XML data files into an RDBMS table. The checkbox panels from data drilling now have a toggle button to select or unselect everything with one click. Some tests were done with Apache Derby and support was added for Derby for table creation.
Release Notes: This version has a new tool, called Data Selection. This tool was initially developed to allow complex data selections for users not knowing much about RDBMS and Joins and other such complicated things in the world of databases. This tool has been in production for three years. SQLAdmin can now also be launched via Java Webstart.
Release Notes: This release adds a new CreateTable-GUI which allows you to create the table within a grid. It supports additional parameters not available in the "old" Version; you can set default values, check-constraints, and foreign-key-relationships. There is an editor that allows you to select the referencing column by simply clicking it. SQL-Monitor now allows the use of "desc". Bugs have been fixed.
Release Notes: This version features a better data export utility, it is faster, and supports CSV, XLS, and XML format. If the underlying RDBMS is MySQL there is an additional menu to display a dashboard.
Release Notes: The generated code now has an additional constructor to save connections to the DBMS. This new constructor allows giving an existing connection over. Getting the next() row also now reuses the existing connection. The code generator has two additional buttons that allows developers to compile and run the generated code.
Release Notes: The number of connections can now be defined. If this number is exceeded, the connections are cycled. This means that Admin can now be used on an RDBMS without exceeding the number of connections allowed by the license. java.util.logging is now used. AlterTable is now more compatible with different RDBMS. Some fixes were made within the code generator. StackTraces now popup in a window and offer much more information. SimpleLogServer, which captures a logrecord configured to be sent by java.util.logging.SocketHandler, was added. A DashBoard for MySQL is now available.
Release Notes: The CodeGenerator now features an editor to modify the Swing GUI before code generation. This editor displays the XML file as a tree, and allows the user to modify panel and component nodes. The user can insert additional panels, and can cut and paste components from one panel into another. There is also a preview feature which displays the changes before applying them.
Release Notes: In this release, there is better PostgreSQL integration, better image handling, better properties handling, the confusion when changing the driver is gone, "one click to connect" is now working, some enhancements were added for instantDB, and some tests added for RMI-JDBC.
Release Notes: This release has been repackaged into different main packages, which allows one to more easily find a tour in admin and to simplify its use. There is a completely new code generator tool. It now generates a better SQL wrapper, using prepared statements and delivering additional features. There is also generation of a JTableModel that allows a direct write back to the DB in a JTable, and a new and better Swing form that is much more flexible. All the generation can now be done in one run, and is based on a generated and editable XML file.
