To be honest, I wrote the code for this a year or two ago, based on a BASIC game I once saw. Tried to make my version a bit more interesting, with exploding mines, assassinations and such. If anyone does know who the original author is, lemme know and I'll give them credit for the original idea. I don't think anyone else has ported this to Linux.

i just had an "Astron Mines" deja-vu.
( early 80's the very first game i typed for my TSR-80 was
called "Astron Mines", the source listing -- BASIC i imagine, can't remember -- was in a magazine, and it's pretty much this one !!! )
