Release Notes: sous-marin turtle is now the equivalent of the core sous-marin package installation. But instead of 300 Mb, turtle is only 47Mb. The following was added to the standard Slackware installer initrd image: bash, nvi for vi, ncftp, slackpkg, and lynx. Anything not compliant enough in BusyBox has been upgraded to the standard binary. The archive is now a gzipped cpio image. It is not an initrd. On the beta box, turtle is on an ext4 filesystem, booting with the generic-smp kernel and an ext4 initrd.

Release Notes: This is the first alpha release of sous-marin turtle, a miniature sous-marin based on the Slackware installer initrd as installed to a harddrive. It boots and shuts down. Plenty of things work but it is only altered in the run-levels.

Release Notes: Instead of having a minimal package list and a larger one that would end up with arbitrary packages, the lists have been reorganized into Slackware version lists and modules. There is a sous-marin list for 13.1 and 13.7. The missing lvm2 for lilo has been added to both. There are modules for bootstrapping sous-marin and for enabling slackpkg's gpg verification.
