Release Notes: This is an updated release based on the 0.9.6 version of the ISOs. While it does not contain any changes in the actual installer scripts, it does have an updated set of packages/spells based on the 0.7 Stable Grimoire, including an updated version of the Linux kernel.

Release Notes: This release was updated with the latest stable grimoire. A few minor typos were fixed.

Release Notes: A "dependency" scheme was added to make sure you don't accidentally skip a vital step or do things in the wrong order. You can still override dependencies if you really know what you're doing. Spells are now installed in the background while you are busy selecting options. Software RAID support via mdadm was added.

Release Notes: A completely revamped installer was added. Significantly newer versions of spells are included. This was generated using a repeatable system.

Release Notes: This version uses a 2.6.8.1 kernel. NPTL has been removed. There is native support of udev and static /dev. It now installs a bootable system. yaboot, lilo, and grub have been tested with or without a separate /boot partition. All software have been compiled using stable sorcery/grimoire, with few patches.

Release Notes: Versions 2.4.25 and 2.6.5 of the kernel (x86) are available. Significant changes were made so that the bulk of configuration happens before installing the system. GRUB has been added, so a choice between LILO or GRUB is now available. The image.tar.bz2 that was unpacked onto the target has been replaced by individual spell caches, giving better control over installation and easy use of caches in rescue mode. For the 2.6.5 kernel version, a choice of static /dev or udev on /dev is offered and automatically setup. For 2.4.25 kernel, the default is still devfs, but a static /dev is possible by editing a few files.

Release Notes: A choice of either a 2.4.25 or 2.6.3 kernel is available. The actual installed system will be almost identical except for the kernel difference and the addition of a sysfs entry to /etc/fstab. The installer itself has had many features added and some bugs fixed.

No changes have been submitted for this release.

Release Notes: The biggest change is that devfs is now used on /dev. All the changes necessary for using devfs have been made and tested. sorcery is upgraded to version 1.4. Mount points for CDROM and floppy drive now exist by default. Drivers for several ADSL modems have been added (in source form only).

Release Notes: This ISO can be used both as an installation CD or as a full rescue CD. Nearly no alien files are used anymore: the glibc, perl, installwatch, and init.d spells have been patched. The timezone selection now works at install time. Unresolved symbols in pcmcia-cs have been corrected. Some un-needed spells were removed, such as strace, mktemp, uudeview, dump, termpcap, and busybox. KEYMAP in /etc/sysconfig/keymap now defaults to "us". Kernel compilation has been restored at install time and is optional.
