Release Notes: GNU autoconf, g77, and gdb were bundled into the system. Medialib was updated with more than 300 new routines. Support for SMBIOS and prtdiag(1m) for x86/x64 platforms was added. ACPI support was improved. The e1000g (Intel Gigabit) driver was overhauled, ported to SPARC, and advanced features including trunking, VLANs, and checksum offload were added. StarOffice and StarSuite were updated to version 7, Product Update 5. Since the 9/2005 release, roughly 600 bugs were fixed.

Release Notes: A new system for dynamic interrupt distribution was added. Debugging enhancements and several useful desktop-related improvements were made. Since the 8/2005 release, roughly 500 bugs were fixed.

Release Notes: The IEEE1394 camera driver is now available for x86/x64 systems, USB support has improved, and support for USB smartcard readers has been added. Compatibility with various storage subsystems has been improved. Roughly 600 bugs have been fixed.

Release Notes: The MESA 3D graphics library and the AGPgart driver were added for x86 platforms. The Advanced DDI Interrupt Framework was integrated. Various observability and security enhancements were made. Roughly 500 bugs were fixed.

Release Notes: The "New Boot" boot architecture was integrated, eliminating the real mode drivers, replacing the ACPI stack, and utilizing GNU GRUB as a boot loader. Other enhancements include aggressive use of large pages, the "Nemo" (a.k.a. GLDv3) network driver framework, and driver updates to e1000g, bge, nge, xge. Various open source packages were updated, including Webmin, sendmail, ipmitool, and Samba. Since 04/2005, roughly 1,000 bugs were fixed.
