softbeep is a utility for redirecting beeps of internal PC speakers to a soundcard by using LD_PRELOAD. Standard \a characters written to TTYs are caught, as are gdk_beep()s of GTK programs, XBell()s of X11 programs, and beep()s of curses programs.
