Sofia-SIP

Sofia-SIP is a SIP user agent library, compliant with the IETF RFC3261 specification. It can be used as a building block for SIP client software for uses such as VoIP, IM, and many other real-time and person-to-person communication services. The primary target platform is GNU/Linux. Sofia-SIP is based on a SIP stack developed at the Nokia Research Center.

    Release Notes: A large number of bugs have been fixed. Features such as deferrable timers and improvements to TLS certificate validation have been implemented. Numerous compilation and build system problems have been fixed.

      Release Notes: Numerous bugs have been fixed. The SDP parser has been updated to accept syntax according to RFC 4566. The TLS certificate verfication can now be controlled through the official API.

        Release Notes: Basic transaction level load control support has been added. The NAT traversal support in 'nua' has been improved. It is now possible to force rport use at server end, and force routing of requests to a NATed transport address detected by the application. Bugs with SDP offer/answer overlap, BYE handling, and event fetch/poll have been fixed in 'nua'. Bugs with timer handling, RFC2543 dialog/transaction matching, and gray list handling have been fixed in 'nta'. Problems with SDP session handling by 'soa' when media lines are deleted or their type is changed have been fixed.

          Release Notes: Beside bugfixes, a server graylisting was added to nta and a few improvements in event handling were made in the nua interface. A check-based test program was also added.

            Release Notes: The stack now compiles and runs on Symbian SDK with Open C support enabled. The stack supports specifying the outbound proxy by a set of Route headers as recommended by RFC3261. It also supports CR-LF-based keepalives on TCP connections. Bugs in call state machines, URI, and SDP handling have been fixed.
