Sockso is a personal music server for everyone. It's designed to be as simple as possible so that anyone with a mouse and some MP3s can get their friends listening to their music across the Internet in minutes.

Release Notes: Patches were added to improve HTTP/HTTPS streaming performance and HTML compliance. The music tree in the GUI was improved to cope with collections of any size. Hidden files are now ignored on indexing. Some other bugs were fixed.

Release Notes: Users can now change their passwords via the Web interface. A property has been added to disable checking for the latest version. There is a new manual scheduler, and bugfixes for quotes in track names and Amazon cover fetching.

Release Notes: Cron scheduling support was added for collection scanning. Streaming was improved. Palm Pre support was added.

Excellent server! I have a Nokia N800 tablet, and it doesn't interact well with most java-based players. The incredible amount of playback options make this one a keeper. Users can cycle through different methods of playback (embedded java, Flex, JS player, M3U/PLS) to find the one that works best for them. For me, it was the M3U option allowing Maemo's default media player to work. Great interface, and intelligent enough for large music collections. Good work!
