Release Notes: Though this new release also improves some smaller issues, its most important new feature is powerful SVN support. This means you can use SmartGit as an SVN client with Git-typical advantages like the ability to commit off-line and modify local commits, and very fast command execution. In contrast with git-svn, SmartGit has much better performance (especially with msysgit on Windows and fast initial clone similar to 'svn checkout'), tag and branch management, and support for SVN externals, svn:mime-type, svn:eol-style, and svn:ignore.
