The Second Life Viewer is the client for logging into the Second Life 3-D virtual world, where residents explore, purchase virtual land, open businesses, build real estate, and create scripted objects such as cars, robots, or magic wands. Second Life residents retain full intellectual property rights for the digital content they create and upload, including avatar characters, clothing, scripts, textures, objects, and designs.

Release Notes: This maintenance release features the adult content access and filtering extensions, as well as more than 100 bugfixes and usability improvements. New translations into Dutch, Italian, Russian, Turkish, and Ukrainian were added. The translations to Spanish (Espana) and Portuguese (Brasil) were completely reworked. The translations to Chinese (Simplified), Danish, French, German, Hungarian, Japanese, and Polish were much improved.
Release Notes: This version has 35 crash fixes and an approximate 20% decrease in total crash rate across all types of hardware over the previous major release. The user interface skin is now selectable, with an optional new skin. Clicking on resident names in Chat/IM now opens their profile. There were other improvements to the display of incomplete avatars, search, internationalization support, and support for Joystick and 3D input devices, and other small improvements to daily interactions.
Release Notes: The voice support in this version has many UI improvements and changes to the default settings. The user interface for parcel and estate access has been clarified and improved. The crash reporting mechanism has been improved. The Linux version has moved from alpha to beta status, and now has voice support. Many other small improvements and bugfixes are also included.
