    Release Notes: The double curved shell was expanded to handle triangle elements. The 4 node shell element can now handle 3 nodes. Several non-linear (large deformation) codes were added and the brick and truss non-linear codes were cleaned up. So now it is possible to use the conjugate gradient method as well as dynamic relaxation. The following elements now have non-linear counterparts: brick, quad, tetrahedron, triangle, truss, and wedge.

      Release Notes: The quad and triangle elements are expanded. The 4 node quadrilateral element can now handle 3-D membrane problems in addition to the plane strain/stress problems. The 3 node triangle can now handle 3-D membrane problems in addition to the plane strain/stress problems. The plate element is now also a 3-D element with membrane properties. It also can handle 3 node plate meshes. From the membrane, there are also x and y displacements as well as rotations in z. A lot of the redundant science and graphics were consolidated.

        Release Notes: The entire mesh coordinates and displacements were rescaled based on the absolute largest coordinate dimension. A transparency feature was added where you can see through the mesh. Toggling on and off of the wire frame was added. The numbering of hash marks on the axes is also improved. The Reisner-Midlin (shear deformable) Beam was added. A hinge element was added. The graphics code for the beam was modified to handle the new data format. The shell code was modified so that it can handle shells defined by 4 nodes in addition to 8 nodes.

              Release Notes: Rendering improvements, cutting planes, new elements (3 node plane stress/strain triangle elements; 4 node tetrahedral elements; 6 node wedge elements), and labeled axes.

                Release Notes: New additions include modal analysis and an accelerated linear algebra solver which uses the Conjugate Gradient Method. The size of the problem you can solve has now expanded from 6,000 DOF to 240,000 DOF with only 64MB RAM. Other additions include a mass matrix assembler that does both consistent masses as well as lumped masses, a new thermal brick element, and nodal averaging of stresses and strains.
