    Release Notes: This version runs the 3.10.17 version of the Linux kernel and brings many updates and enhancements, among which you'll find two of the most advanced desktop environments available today: Xfce 4.10.1 and KDE 4.10.5. System binaries are linked with the GNU C Library, version 2.17. This release installs gcc-4.8.2 as the default compiler and includes LLVM and Clang. There are new development tools, including Perl 5.18.1, Python 2.7.5, Ruby 1.9.3-p448, graphical tools like Qt designer, and KDevelop, and much more. The x86_64 version supports installation and booting on machines using UEFI firmware.

                    Release Notes: Highlights of this release include the Linux 2.4.29 kernel (with Linux 2.6.10 as an alternate choice in /testing), X11R6.8.1 from X.Org, Mozilla 1.7.5, KDE 3.3.2, GNOME 2.6.1, and Xfce 4.2.0.
