Simple iPod Video Converter (SIVE) is a GTK 2 frontend to mplayer, mencoder, and mp4 muxers. With it, you can convert your movies to play them on your iPod very easily.

Release Notes: A bug where notifications didn't timeout when batch encoding was fixed. A verbose mode was added. A bug where no output file was produced if the output folder path contains a space character was fixed. Copy and clear terminal output functions were added. "Busy" mouse cursors were included. Default encoding profiles can no longer be overwritten, though user defined ones can. The number of user defined profiles is now unlimited. A "help" command line option was added.

Release Notes: SIVE can now use MP4Box as well as mp4creator. MP4Box is included in many distributions. Usage of MP4Box solves the problem regarding videos not being playable on a computer. The interface was enhanced. The default settings can be specified in a preferences dialog and saved in a configuration file. The French translation was corrected.
Release Notes: This release adds Real Media format support, Quicktime format support, MPEG format support, ASF/WMV format support, VOB format support (no language and subs selection yet), a scrollbar in the terminal, tray notifications, confirmation on quit if converting, and a "how to use" function. It chains commands instead of sending one big command.
