Simplog

Simplog provides an easy way for users to add blogging capabilities to their existing web sites. Simplog is compatible with multiple databases, and also features an RSS/Atom aggregator/reader. It is powerful, yet simple.

    Release Notes: The RSS and DB libraries were updated. It is now possible to include images from Flickr into posts. Many bugfixes were made.

      Release Notes: This release adds an improved RSS/RDF/Atom news reader, improved administrative UI, a rewritten OO backend, and trackback and pingback support

        Release Notes: This release features categories. Users can now read RSS feeds and add a post from a feed into their blog. They can create various types of blocks for inclusion in blog. Blog admins can now add/remove user from blog, create/edit blocks, create/edit categories, and edit comments. There is now a summary for the last 5 blog entries, and new menus. The comment administration is now done in the comment screen. There is the ability to review comments. There is an implementation of Blogger and MetaWeblog APIs, so users can now post to their blog from any API-supporting client. Posts are now referenced by unique ID in archive rather than date.

            Release Notes: A new Web-based installation/upgrade, storing passwords with MD5 hashing, porting all code to use the ADODB database libraries to make MyPHPblog compatible with multiple database platforms, an option to strip out bad HTML from user's comments, users can send updates to weblogs.com via XML-RPC "ping", a dynamically-generated RSS feed, a fix for a "New User/No Blog" login problem, and more secure lost password retrieval.
