    Release Notes: This release fixes a number of small issues: MAN_PAGE_DIR, a failing RPM build process, fsync() should not return -EINVAL, and ls showed incorrect sizes for long files.

        Release Notes: This version features huge portions rewritten, the "server" code moved to userspace, a user option added for shfsmount, remote OS detection removed, persistent connection support, the ability to preserve works r/w, support for any command for connection (--cmd option), a file cache memory leak fix, SMP fixes, and a fix for emacs.

            Release Notes: User mounts are supported now, an an shfsumount command has been added. Common mount(8) attributes are added (suid, nosuid, dev, nodev, exec, and noexec).

              Release Notes: A fix was made for the "stale NFS handle" bug in kernel 2.4.19+ fix. OSF1 support was added.

                Release Notes: An IRIX64 symlink fix was made. create() should respect given access mode now. Fixes were also made for the shell protocol and gcc 3.x compilation.
