SERanks is a Java application that obtains the rankings of search expressions from search engines. It allows you to specify the search engines that are of relevance to you, offers lots of options for configuring the output and for governing the ranking process, and allows you to export the results to spreadsheet applications.

Release Notes: The documentation browser was extended with navigational buttons, and the documentation was updated.


Release Notes: One can now copy the results of the ranking table directly to spreadsheet applications such as MS Excel via the clipboard. Copy & paste functionality was also added to the logging window. Documentation updates were made. The focus of search engine files has shifted to major search engines, so a couple of former search engine files are no longer available.


Release Notes: Due to major changes at several search engines the RESULTSTRINGEND parameter was finally included in the parse function. Now the search for the homepages' URL is much improved. Logging information in the log window was still insufficient, so several new log messages were added. Two search engines (Rex and Infoseek) were closed and thus deleted from the search-engine file-list. However, several new search engines (Acoon, AllTheWeb, and WEB.DE) were added and AltaVista was extended by its Austrian search engine.


Release Notes: A fix for logging the result pages returned by the search engines, updating the HTTP connection from version 1.0 to 1.1, and several HTTP header fields. Due to this update, setting a timeout value works fine with all search engines.
