The sctplib library is a fairly complete prototype implementation of the Stream Control Transmission Protocol (SCTP), a message-oriented reliable transport protocol that supports multi-homing and multiple message streams multiplexed within an SCTP connection. The API of the library was modeled after section 10 of RFC 2960, and most parameters and functions should be self-explanatory to the user familiar with this document. In addition, the library also provides a number of helper functions for managing timers and UDP communication.

Release Notes: This version contains bug fixes regarding Silly Window Syndrome avoidance, retransmission issues (T3 timer expiration, selective retransmission), and a shutdown issue. It supports the security related issues of the latest version of the SCTP implementor's guide. It now runs on Solaris and Windows, although on Windows it lacks STDIN and IPv6 support.
Release Notes: This release has been tested by fairly many people, and contains many bugfixes over the latest pre-release versions. If you use sctplib, you should strongly consider upgrading.
