Release Notes: dotfiles samples for bsh, sh and ved have been enhanced. bsh now correctly handles "$@" as "$1" "$2". bsh now supports the option -o aliasowner=user as the Bourne Shell does. The Bourne now correctly handles begin aliases that end in space or TAB. A new variant of the Bourne Shell has been created. This variant is highly portable but is reduced to the features and bugs of the Bourne Shell from SunOS-5 (Solaris) and installed as "osh" for shell script portability testing purposes.
Release Notes: This release fixes a bug in smake makro expansion, adds support for the "clang" compiler, adds several other enhancements in the schily makefilestem, and makes some minor changes to make all programs compile and work on recent Mac OS X versions.
Release Notes: Cdrtools has been bumped to version 3.01a23. A typo fix in README.compile for the mail address. star -c list=filename now skips empty lines in "filename". The Bourne Shell man page is now a bit closer to man(5) standards. libschily/sleep.c and libschily/usleep.c have been modified to work with MinGW.
Release Notes: The portable smake bootstrap compile environment works again. include/schily/varargs.h now contains a wrapper struct to allow it to copy av_list typed variables. include/schily/getargs.h now has a comment to explain the callback interface of the option parser. libschily/format.c (printf() base) now supports argument reordering using %n$ with n <= 30. libschily/getargs.c option parser no longer dumps core with combined boolean options using callbacks. cdrtools has been bumped to 3.01a22. star no longer archives all files as a sparse file when using "star -c -sparse -force-hole".
Release Notes: This release fixes a bug in libschily/format.c from the last release. A speedup for printf() from libschily on Solaris makes it 30% faster than printf() from libc. hdump/od benefits from this speedup. The new functions xcomerr(), xcomerrno(), fxcomerr(), and fxcomerrno() have been added to libschily. Some new workarounds to support MinGW have been added.
