Release Notes: This release adds a new capability to generate PDF files for a single schematic, a schematic and its hierarchy, or a whole library of schematics. The PDF links any symbols to their respective schematic for easy navigation. The graphics in the PDF are vector, so they scale very nicely. Also added is a new keypoint mode. Keypoint mode for edit commands selects the object nearest the place the hotkey was depressed, to save a button click. Data entry commands add their first point at the key position.

Release Notes: Check/save time was improved by orders of magnitude for very large schematics. An ECL mode was added to automatically place/route ECL schematics. Tcl expressions can be used to specify a reference library. Log files for the program can be directed to a common directory by setting an environment variable. New library lock mode was added for faster single user operation.

Release Notes: Several minor enhancements were added, including the option to magnify a symbol placement in a schematic. Magnifying symbols is supported to allow easier import of foreign schematics, such as cadence composer. Checking a schematic can now optionally widen a bus'ed wire. PPM images are now allowed as a schematic object, so a company logo image can easily be imported to the schematic. The LVS option to the sister program slam was updated to allow graphical cross-probing with the layout after the LVS is executed.

Release Notes: This release adds a fast formless command to update wire, pin, and symbol names directly on the screen. The new command can modify symbol parameter values such as W/L too. After invoking the new command, simply click on the name or parameter value. A cursor is displayed on the window, and you can start typing. Keys such as arrows and delete move the cursor displayed on the screen. This is simpler and quicker to use than the existing form-based interface to change these values.

Release Notes: Very minor GUI changes were made to scheture in tandem with the changes made to its companion product slam.

Release Notes: Support for Postscript printers has been added. Prior versions only supported PCL and GL2 printer/plotters. The push command has been altered slightly for faster pushing/popping. Support has been added for any angle wire connectivity extraction. An option to allow parameter and pin text to rotate to any angle has been added. Prior versions always made this type of text "right reading". A number of minor database Tcl interface inconsistencies have been corrected.

Release Notes: This release adds a number of minor improvements. These include a new symbol popup menu to place standard and recently placed symbols quickly. Also new are real arc/circle/ellipse shapes for more cosmetically attractive symbols. Previously, these shapes were constructed from lines and polygons. Wires can now be named with iterators such as "{N1,N2}(3)" to compactly represent the name "N1,N2,N1,N2,N1,N2". More complex iterators are supported as well. A number of new options have been added to the "check & save" command to beautify the schematic during the "check & save" process.

Release Notes: Minor bugfixes and 3 minor enhancements. The first enhancement adjusts wires attached to symbols when they are moved to maintain their attachment to the symbol's pin. The second enhancement allows you to force a comment when saving a schematic to disk. When enabled, the comments assist in tracking changes prior to a major event such as a tapeout. The third change enables the title block symbol to dynamically display the original author and last modifier of the schematic as a convenience.
