Release Notes: sdvdbackup commands are now tested with Blu-Ray (BD) media. Use the -bd option for media with "25 GB" and -bd_dl for media with "50 GB". If the xorriso program is used as the ISO 9660 formatter, then file names with newline characters are handled properly, ACLs get recorded, and each data file gets equipped with an MD5 checksum.
Release Notes: The configuration now allows the choice of xorriso as the ISO9660 formatter and as the burn program. This enables scdbackup to split oversized files without needing a large disk buffer. Remote scdbackup installations may be used via SSH instead of a burn program. Regular expressions can exclude files from the backup if their leafnames match. Media types BD-R and BD-RE are permitted but have not been tested yet.
Release Notes: scdbackup now supports wodim and cdrskin as CD/DVD burn backends, as well as the ISO9660 formatter genisoimage. The helper application scdbackup_askme is able to quickly find files in large incremental backups, to guide through extraction of single files, or to perform the full restore of a whole backup.
Release Notes: Backup volumes are now composed alphabetically by default. Incremental backup preparation has become much faster. An appendix about preparations for disaster recovery has been added to the README file.
Release Notes: This is the stable release of several important new features. Write success and media readability can now be verified. In addition to writing on CDs, there is a set of commands for writing on DVDs. Incremental backups have been enhanced by checksums and contain a list of vanished files. Large file support has been added, but still depends on the development versions of afio and mkisofs. Upgrading has been simplified. With incremental backups, -max_size and some other options can be overridden.
Release Notes: Incremental backups with an arbitrary number of levels was added.
