Release Notes: This release fixes editing problems with 1.4.0, and adds a complete help and documentation system that describes and explains the available simulated constellations.
Release Notes: This release includes new features, such as satellite names, display of sun lighting on coverage, vastly improved high-performance coverage texturemap piping to Geomview, and varying levels (1-19) of coverage shading (useful for viewing high-diversity constellations such as GPS and Galileo). SaVi 1.4.0 is compatible with Tk 8.5, the latest GNU make and gcc, and Mac OS X Leopard/XCode 3.0.
Release Notes: This release includes all work done for a workshop on satellite applications and constellations given as a guest lecturer at the International Space University Summer Session. This adds satellite counts to the fisheye view, builds on FreeBSD and Debian, asks the user what size Coverage panel is desired, allows satellite footprints to be hidden in the Coverage panel, adds simulation of the Disaster Monitoring Constellation and Japanese quasi-geostationary systems, handles directory names containing spaces, adds a SaVi user manual, and makes sundry other improvements.
Release Notes: The fisheye window is now a Tk canvas and works for Cygwin Insight Tcl users. The X libraries are no longer required for compilation. The binary is now 20% smaller. Fisheye views can now be saved as PostScript. A rosette constellation generator was added. Corrects plane phasing was added in the @atcontact, Celestri, Galileo, and GS2 scripts. Other minor improvements were made.
Release Notes: This release adds a new spherical projection option in the coverage panel, so that you can see the Earth as a sphere without requiring Geomview. There are minor cosmetic bugfixes to showing and hiding static elements in Geomview, and coverage colors when closing and reopening the coverage panel are also included. Makefile_defs naming problems encountered with the packaging of previous releases are addressed here.
Release Notes: This release makes dynamic texture mapping of bitmap Earth coverage to Geomview an integral part of SaVi, via a new coverage panel menu. Geomview interaction is improved and sped up, and a new option to hide the Earth map in the coverage panel is added.
Release Notes: This version polishes and improves SaVi considerably over previous releases. The coverage panel has been beefed up with a menubar and playbar making it easier to use and with the ability to display coverage in an almost infinite variety of colors. Texture-mapping under Geomview has been improved, and is now of much visibly higher quality. The installation process has been made more helpful.
Release Notes: This release adds realtime 3D texturemapping, new coverage projections, optional large coverage maps, compatibility with Tcl/Tk 8.4 and Cygwin, better file handling, a Sirius Radio simulation, and a host of other improvements.
