SalStat

SalStat is an small application for the statistical analysis of scientific data (with a special concentration on psychology). It is a bit like SPSS and StatView, and it is written in Python/wxPython.

    Release Notes: The ability for users to select all descriptives was recovered, and a few bugs for selecting the correct test were fixed. A couple of other, more minor but irritating bugs have also been fixed, but these are mostly invisible to the user and improve performance a little more.

      Release Notes: This release adds the ability to perform data transformations (some common predefined ones and user-defined functions in Python) and a minor code cleaning.

        Release Notes: This version fixes a bug in the Windows installer was fixed. A better plotting facility was implemented. Some code cleanups were made.

          Release Notes: Major UI enhancements were made. The chi square test was added. The code was tightened. Proper graphing/plotting was added with SciPy. The acknowledgements were changed. There is also a fully packaged self-installing executable for Windows users. This version runs on Linux, Unices, and hopefully Mac OS X.

            Release Notes: This release contains a large number of improvements, among them: Windows and Linux self-contained files (no dependencies) and a self-extracting installer for Windows, new tests, interface cleanup, scripting support (access your data using Python and write your own tests), Extremely basic bar charts for the means (the Windows version doesn't seem to work as well as the Linux one), saving and printing of analysis output, a new manual (PDF, text and TeX format), and general usability improvements.
