Release Notes: This release fixes a load of minor bugs, such as memory leaks with libafterimage, correct adjusting of line length and wide characters on insert/delete/erase, a number of minor wide character problems, a problem with perl on HPPA systems, disabling mouse reporting on reset, and many others. There have also been some small feature enhancements, such as being able to specify an icon image, an upgrade of the embedded libev, an OSC sequence to change the border color, a new Perl extension "overlay-osc", clearing the urgency hint on focus out, and a few others.

  •  15 Jun 2008 20:43

Release Notes: This release fixes a bug causing problems with many windows opened from urxvtd on non-Linux kernels, fixes a bug in handling multi-byte characters on some non-GNU/Linux systems, works around Fedora removing isastream, and works around buggy window managers a bit better in the tabbed extension. A lot of minor bugs have been fixed as well. On the feature side, tabs are now movable, there is a new --chdir option, a more rational clear-till-end-of-line command sequence, and some more minor improvements, especially with the tabbed extension.

  •  24 Dec 2007 02:59

Release Notes: Urxvtd will now close windows and clear the selection in a timely fashion instead of waiting for the next event. The terminfo file has been changed to use the same escape sequences for cursor keys at all times. Changing the root pixmap will now update the pixmap in urxvt again, instead of resulting in flickering after the change. The look of the right-hand-side xterm scrollbar has been fixed, and there were some minor improvements and reorganizations to the code.

  •  17 Feb 2007 20:50

Release Notes: This release contains a great number of smaller bugfixes and improvements, such as fixing combining characters with tinting, an updated libptytty that doesn't eat pty handles anymore, updates to the matcher extension, correcting handling of the IUTF8 flag (in Linux), and re-enabling meta-button2-pastes-clipboard functionality. The Linux-Pty slowdown bug workaround is now disabled by default as it interacts badly with screen. Some obsolete funtionality has been removed from the code, and a lot of minor annoyances have been fixed.

  •  07 Dec 2006 23:17

Release Notes: This release fixes the documentation for secondaryScroll and "[alpha]name" color specifications. It fixes the (wrong) assumption that all Unicode codepoints less than 256 have a width of one. It also fixes a bug that caused strwidth to return the wrong width, causing xim-onthespot to malfunction. A new extension, "macosx-clipboard", makes the Mac OS X clipboard accessible directly to urxvt.

  •  02 Nov 2006 14:04

Release Notes: Combining characters will no longer erase the characters below them. Font bold/italic morphing will not be applied to manually-specified fonts. A crash when using non-UTF-8 locales (e.g. C) has been fixed. The powerful "matcher" extension now replaces mark-urls. The outline cursor color is now correct; starting urxvtc in an inaccessible directory no longer crashes urxvtd.

  •  17 Jul 2006 14:00

Release Notes: This release primarily fixes a lot of bugs but also adds a few minor features: unlike Xt and previous versions, rxvt-unicode now always reads $HOME/.Xdefaults, a kuake-like extension has been added, Xft and X11 colours now agree (this fixes colour banding effects), hilightcolour-support has been re-enabled, the "depth" resource is now respected, several Debian patches have been integrated, and double-buffered Xft is now configurable via features.h. Many minor bugs have been fixed.

  •  10 Feb 2006 00:49

Release Notes: This release fixes a large number of minor issues, such as more feedback on wrong options, options to disable settings, an improved and more configurable tab bar, the ability to disable some extensions via the option popup, removal of the constant image offset from the automove-background extension, and more. The documentation and FAQ have been improved and the alpha channel specification for colors has been changed to be easier to use.

  •  28 Jan 2006 07:05

Release Notes: This releases fixes the "background color" bug, which caused newly-scrolled-in lines to have the wrong background color. A debugging message left in the code in 7.3 has been removed, and a few very minor bugs have been fixed.

  •  25 Jan 2006 17:46

Release Notes: This release aims at consolidating the big changes in recent releases, and thus contains predominantly bugfixes. Event processing order could create a global grab ("freeze") in conjunction with mouse reporting and ISO 14755 mode. The Shift-Button2 sequence has been moved to Meta-Button2, as it collided with typical uses for mouse reporting. Characters that are too wide for their box will be handled even more carefully. The cutchars resource will be respected by the Perl selection. An experimental xim-onthespot extension has been added.
