Rush 2005

Rush 2005 is a project to create an American football game for Windows and Linux in the tradition of Tecmo Bowl and NFL Blitz. It is built using the cross-platform SDL game programming library.

Release Notes: Sound effects have been given an overhaul (crowd ambiance, cheering, and better on-field sounds). Four teams have been added (Oakland, Kansas City, Tampa Bay, and Carolina), bringing the total to 16.

Release Notes: This release adds a "--nosound" commandline option to address sound problems in Linux, *nix configure scripts in the main branch, and ongoing code cleanup.

Release Notes: Twelve teams are now available, namely all the 2004-5 playoff teams. The menu system has been given another rewrite to make it more scalable.

Release Notes: Four teams have been added, bringing the total to eight (Atlanta, Indianapolis, Minnesota, NewEngland, NewYork Jets, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, and St. Louis). A new offensive formation has been added. A bug that didn't allow quarterback running plays has been fixed, as has another bug that didn't switch teams properly when doing post- halftime kickoffs. The scoreboard display design has been finalized.
