run-free is a GUI command line launcher application. It is designed to be key-driven and flexible. Its purpose is to allow the user to flexibly run command line programs from the X desktop. Some feature highlights are Doxygen source code documentation, compatibility across different systems, full keyboard support (no mouse interaction required), a keystroke help dialog, versatile history management and viewing, the ability to run command lines in an X terminal of your choice, the ability to continue using your terminal as a shell, a persistent mode, and more.

    Release Notes: Keystroke support was improved. A pure C implementation was created. Combo box usability was improved. X terminal support was enhanced. Optional bash shell alias support (i.e. dircolors) was added. A dialog box for help was added. The code was rewritten completely.
