Rubygame is a cross-platform game and multimedia library for the Ruby programming language. It provides flexible high-level Ruby classes on top of SDL to make game programming fast and enjoyable.

Release Notes: This release has a new module for music playback, new Sprite features, and plenty of other smaller additions and bugfixes.
Release Notes: A number of new API extensions were added, including support for audio mixing and playback, a revamped event management system, UTF8 and Unicode text rendering, and several other nice features.
Release Notes: Rubygame can work alongside OpenGL to provide 3D hardware-accelerated graphics, including the ability to convert Surfaces into OpenGL textures. The mouse cursor can be hidden and shown. Code has been cleaned up and restructured, and the build system has had some improvements.
Release Notes: Up-to-date documentation for all modules, classes, and methods is now available. The documentation can be extracted from the source with RDoc, or browsed online at the rubygame Web site. Some minor shifting, renaming, and merging of modules and classes to smooth out the API.
