RoboTournament

RoboTournament is a RoboRally inspired game where players program their robots to vanquish their opponents. RoboTournament features multiple game types (Death Match, Rally, and Capture The Flag), TCP/IP multiplayer support, six weapons including the BFG, a map editor, a wide variety of board elements, integrated chat, and computer-controlled robots for Rally and Death Match games.

    Release Notes: Robot Capture The Flag (CTF) AI was added. A "Friendly Fire" option was added for CTF games. Many minor improvement and some major bugfixes were made.

      Release Notes: DeathMatch and CTF score adjustment in the GameParameter screen, a fix for a chat text area resize problem introduced with the resizable frame, several new maps, removal of test maps and dumb maps, a newrt-map-editor script in the main rt directory, and a new client/maps/MapTemplates/ directory with many map templates.

        Release Notes: A paned window was added on the left side, making the server message area resizable. Fine-tune controls were added for card frequencies (probabilities), which adjusts the value in 0.5 increments. robotournament.tcl was added to launch the client. A "Start Server" button was added to the login screen, and a "Conform" button was added to card set up, which normalizes the frequencies.

          Release Notes: A change log and a README file were added to thie distribution. The robotournament.tcl script was added for conveniently launching the client. The client no longer exits when the game is over. An error dialog, a "Conform" button for normalizing card frequencies, and a "Start Server" button were added to the client. New features of the server include more bot insults, a lower frequency of bot insults, and an error dialog. The server also no longer exits when the game is over, and it no longer prints a message when a client leaves.

            Release Notes: Insult code was added. Computer-controlled bots now will insult and brag to each other. The AI of computer-controlled bots was improved. Minor bugfixes were made.
