Remuco

Remuco is a duplex remote control system for Linux media players and mobile devices equipped with Bluetooth or WiFi. With Remuco, you can remotely control your favorite media player. You can switch to the next, previous, or any other media within the current playlist, browse your media library and activate other playlists, rate your media, adjust volume, and more. On the mobile device (the remote control), it displays information about the current media, including cover art.

Release Notes: This release provides some fixes for the Exaile, gmusicbrowser, and Totem player adapters.

Release Notes: This release introduces a new player adapter for gmusicbrowser. The Bansheee adapter has been updated to work with Banschee 1.6. However, the most notable change is that the release package now contains an Android client (still beta, but works well most of the time).

Release Notes: This release introduces player adapters for Quod Libet and Amarok 1.4 as well as an experimental client for Android devices. The Exaile adapter has been fixed to work with Exaile 3.1. Minor enhancements were made in the classic MIDP client and in the Amarok 2.0, Banshee, MPD, and MPlayer adapters.

Release Notes: This release introduces player adapters for MPlayer and Songbird. The XMMS2 adapter has been ported to XMMS2 0.6. Minor enhancements were made in the Audacious, MPD, and Rhythmbox adapters. Various Bluetooth related issues were fixed.

Release Notes: This release introduces a new player adapter for Exaile 3. The XMMS2 player adapter's media library browser has been extended: it now supports collections and has sections for artists, albums, and tracks. Browsing long lists in a player's media library has been made a little bit easier. Some client-related configuration options can now be set directly in the client. The new survey tool remuco-report can be used to contribute in building a Remuco-compatible device database. Finally, this release has several minor enhancements and bugfixes.

It works on my Nokia 6280 cellphone.
It is remuco which let me remotely control my favorite music player rhythmbox via my bluetooth enabled Nokia 6280 cellphone on my machine with Fedora Core 6 installed.
