    Release Notes: Makefiles can now have an optional description line as a meta comment which is described in the upcoming LISA 2011 paper. Process IDs are now shown on the --trace separator line when there are multiple make jobs are running. An indentation bug in --trace output was fixed.

      Release Notes: A --tasks option was added, similar to that in rake, which gives a list of "interesting" targets. Negative numbers on the "frame" command counts from the other end now. This version should build better on more OSes with various older versions of GNU Readline installed.

        Release Notes: Breakpoints and listing by line number were added. The help system was reworked to add much more information. A number of bugs were fixed and documentation was updated to include more example output.

          Release Notes: Debugging of goal and other targets is more complete. The option --no-readline now disables GNU Readline in the debugger. Some bugs were fixed and the documentation revised.

            Release Notes: The code has been rewritten to be based on GNU Make 3.82. There were numerous bugfixes and feature improvements. Upgrading is recommended.

              Release Notes: There were some small bug fixes. The code now compiles on Solaris.

              Release Notes: The debugger documentation from the 3.80x code inadvertently dropped from the previous release has been restored. A bug causing a SEGV in showing target information for a .PHONY target was fixed.

              Release Notes: Changes have been made to bring this up to GNU Make release 3.81. This is alpha code.

              Release Notes: There were some small bugfixes, changes to keep in step with GNU make development, and changes to be more Debian compatible.

              Release Notes: The "write" (target script) command now adds a "cd directory-name" as a comment. A couple of configuration-time options were added, some bugfixes were applied, and some gdb commands were added. GNU emacs debugger support was improved. GNU Make 3.81 development has been tracked to some extent, although this is not complete. Changes in this release are reflected in ddd 3.3.12-test5, which should be downloaded at the same location if you use ddd.
