Release Notes: This release sports a refined interface, offers a query history and search suggestions, and supports more record types as well as searching for duplicates. It can now import from SciFinder and Endnote XML as well as from ArXiv ID or DOI. It also supports additional export formats (ADS, Atom, ISI, OAI_DC XML, and Word XML) and citation styles (AMA, APA, Chicago, Harvard, MLA, and Vancouver), and allows you to dynamically include results into foreign Web pages. Support for the OpenSearch protocol allows users of OpenSearch-enabled browsers to search refbase directly from their browser's toolbar.

An OpenDocument spreadsheet for use with OpenOffice.org can be exported, and formatted citation lists can be generated as HTML, RTF, PDF, or LaTeX. An SRU/W service and support for unAPI, OpenURL, and COinS metadata have been added. These allow the data to be used by the next generation of bibliographic clients.
