RealPlayer

RealPlayer plays streaming audio and video over the Internet in real-time. It plays RealAudio, RealVideo, MP3, 3GPP Video, Flash, SMIL 2.0, JPEG, GIF, PNG, RealPix, RealText, Ogg Vorbis, and Ogg Theora. It is available for Windows, Macintosh, Pocket PC, Nokia 9200 Series, Nokia 7650, Palm OS 5-based handhelds, Linux, Solaris, and many Unix variants.

    Release Notes: Playlist support was added. ALSA audio device support was introduced. Support for surround sound playback as well as Windows Media codecs was added. Many fixes and incremental improvements were made, including stabilization of existing features and fixes for many known issues and bugs.

            If this is a feature you'd like to see, file a feature request. The team might have seen it reading this, but it's easier to know for sure what they are thinking if you file it.

            No glibc2.2 support
            sadly, realplayer 10 requires glibc2.3.

            realplayer 8 etc worked fine on glibc2.2, but realplayer 10 requires glibc2.3.

            it's relatively simple to make glibc2.2 builds (id software does it for example) and they work fine on glibc2.3.

            What version are you using? Can you file a bug in the helixcommunity bugzilla if this still doesn't work for you?
