Release Notes: A major update was made to the user interface. New boundary conditions and lots of improvements and bugfixes were added.
Release Notes: This release added new features such as modal analysis, a faster-loading binary file format, a new boundary condition for stress analysis (displacement - normal to the surface), automatic detection of which matrix solver is most appropriate for a given problem, multiple entity selection in the boundary condition dialog, a line split function, and lots of small improvements and bugfixes.
Release Notes: New features include a CFD solver with a heat-transfer model, wall/fluid heat exchange, and a contaminant dispersion model. Temperature dependent material properties were added. Unit conversion can be done for imported models. New boundary conditions were added for stress analysis. Gmsh mesh files can be imported and exported. ISO surfaces were added. A 64-bit IronCAD add-in was added. Lots of small improvements and bugfixes were made.
Release Notes: New solvers were added for elasto-dynamics, acoustics, and wave propagation. Calculations can be performed online using iRaCS.
Release Notes: View related actions were grouped into one tool-bar for better accessibility. New mesh repair functions were added. All project files are archived into one compressed file. All user files and directories are now in one user directory, "[User home]/range-software". In the "record selector" dialog, the user can activate the "Auto Screen-Shot" check box and every time a new record is loaded, a screen shot will be taken automatically. Extremely high Joule's heat was fixed.
Release Notes: This release introduces a new electrostatics finite element solver. A shape (geometry) optimization algorithm was also introduced.
Release Notes: This release features a improved convergence and accuracy of the solvers, lots of new functions for editing and repairing a geometry, help messages that are displayed on the screen, display of boundary/initial conditions, and an option to load a new mesh. New examples models were added and old ones were repaired. Tutorials and manuals were improved.
Release Notes: A new look is used for the application on Windows. Help messages were added in the element dialogs. Line elements can be created from surface edges. Line groups can be marked and automarked. In the boundary condition dialog, only applicable boundary conditions are shown. Some GUI actions are disabled if results are loaded. Lots of small fixes were done. The supported operating systems are MS Windows XP, MS Windows Vista, Linux Fedora 8, Linux OpenSUSE 10.3, and Linux Ubuntu 7.10.
Release Notes: This release supports unsteady boundary conditions (time-dependent), local coordinates for fixed displacement, and changed element type priority. It also added an advanced record selector, quick help, a dialog with a short description of the icons, keyboard short-cuts and a mouse control, crash detection and reporting, and a material database update (at first execution of the software).
Release Notes: Every time an Element is started, a check for a newer version is performed. If there is a new version, a dialog will be displayed and the user will be given the option to automatically download and install the latest version. An on-screen display of boundary and initial conditions was added. When this is activated, a list of BCs and ICs will be displayed in the display area and applied conditions will be shown on the displayed model. Lots of small enhancements and bugfixes were made. Registered users can use the Range Software package for free.
