Version 0.4.12 of quIRC

Avatar

Release Notes: This release fixes a crash bug in version 0.4.11, where received private messages (/msg) would cause a segmentation fault. It also includes a preventative modification so that similar bugs in the future should merely produce an error report, and not crash.

Release Notes: This release adds the ability for private-messaging tabs to react to NICKs, and thus send subsequent messages to the new nick rather than the old one. It also displays the names of unhandled IRC numeric replies, rather than just vomiting the raw message to the buffer. The ERROR command (typically issued when a server disconnects you) is now properly handled, with the accompanying message displayed. This release also includes a significant amount of internal refactoring and code reorganisation, so should be considered *unstable*.

Release Notes: This release improves CTCP handling. It also remembers channel keys, so they don't need to be specified on /[re]join. Some cosmetic interface changes were made. The 'force_redraw' option ('fred' in the rc file) has been removed, as it's believed to no longer be necessary. There were also some bugfixes; notably, 'topic was set' messages no longer contain ridiculous dates 2300 years in the future.

Release Notes: This is primarily a bugfix release. UTF-8 glitches in the input bar have been fixed, and cursors and backspace now handle UTF-8 correctly. A double-free crash (Bug #18) has been fixed. Some documentation has been updated. The Makefile has been partially cleaned up.
