Release Notes: A configure script and IPv6 support were added. PAM handling was improved.
Release Notes: The "getline" function was renamed to "Qgetline" (to fix a conflict on some platforms).
Release Notes: Some sprintf calls were replaced with qsnprintf. PATH_MAX is used instead of a hard-coded value for some buffers. An error check was added for an impossible condition in get_sub_opt to satisfy some automated code checkers. sys_nerr and sys_errlist are no longer used. A syntax error with 64-bit mode on Solaris was fixed.
Release Notes: A C compilation error when using Kerberos was fixed.
Release Notes: The configure script, PAM, and Makefiles were fixed. Off-by-one errors and warnings were fixed. Code for guarding memory was added. Compilation errors and warnings were fixed. A 'man' directory was provided in the tarball. Chained certs are now supported with OpenSSL.
Release Notes: This version adds a debug trace call with the OpenSSL library version, a 'tls-options' configuration file option, a 'tls-workarounds' boolean option, a sample xinetd configuration file, additional checks for networking libraries, adds '--enable-32-bit' and '--enable-64-bit', and a patch to fix pathname trimming in standalone mode. It fixes a (non-root) buffer overflow, '-no-mime' appended to user name, and the response message when identical MDEFs are defined multiple times. STLS errors (except for timeout) no longer fatal, and LDFLAGS are picked up from the environment, if set.
Release Notes: This version fixed a DoS attack on some systems, standalone mode on OpenBSD, a "noop has null function" log entry, and a 'make install' error on systems without the group 'root'. It now allows '-p' to be used when APOP is not defined, enforces ClearTextPassword even without APOP, restricts clear-text-password=never to APOP, and restricts clear-text-password=tls to QPOP_SSL. A problem with qpopper hanging on an I/O error on some platforms has also been fixed.
Release Notes: This release contains fixes for a buffer overflow, empty passwords being treated as empty commands, warnings on 64-bit systems, and erroneous scanning for \n in getline(). uw-kludge has been added as a synonym for uw-kluge. The error message for nonauthfile and authfile has been changed. SSL_shutdown is not called unless a SSL session is started.
Release Notes: Makefile fixes, messages with lines longer than 512 characters are no longer garbled when sent to client, fixed typo on pop_init.c, new poppassed expect strings for DEC True 64, changing C++ style comments to C style comments, increasing maximum spool length from 64 to 256, a fix for XTND XMIT, and more debugging code.
Release Notes: This release fixes the reference to 'pname' instead of 'p->myname'.
