All releases of QMC2

Release Notes: This is yet another major update which comes with a number of cool new features, synced with MAME/MESS/UME 0.148. Probably the most attractive new feature is the aforementioned arcade mode, a.k.a. QMC2 Arcade.

Release Notes: Besides many bugfixes, the major changes and addition this time include a polished MAME variant logo, improved support for foreign emulators, zlib integration, and experimental support for Qt 5. A speedup in the merge processing, fixes for interpreting new emu stats, and support for CHD v5 are added to the ROMAlyzer. The integrated mini-Web-browser allows new browser windows to be created (pop-up) and change zoom with wheel. Five new translations (completed/mostly completed) are added for Italian, Romanian, Spanish, Swedish, and Greek.

Release Notes: The most important highlights in this release include a major overhaul of the software list support, support for Emulator embedding on Windows, and a change to the MESS device configuration to offer available device instances based on the slot options specified. A semi-transparent overlay widget was added to the YouTube video player. Available driver information can be looked up in a MESS wiki (MESS targets only). Zip support was added for software snapshots.

Release Notes: This release comes with a fairly high number of new features, improvements, and bugfixes. The most important changes this time include many useful MESS-related improvements, an updated template format, and variant launching is now also supported on Windows. QMC2 can now also be built using the MinGW (GCC) compiler on Windows; the user can now decide if ROM status icons are to be shown or not in any of the game/machine list views. A number of tool functions are added. A built-in YouTube video player for game/machine attached video streams is added.

Release Notes: The major focus of this version is clean support for Qt 4.7. The most important changes include major improvements for the emulator embedder to cleanly work with Qt 4.7 and to fix existing/known bugs with regard to auto-maximization, emulator focus, and mixed/concurrent joystick control, support for XML data that contains Unicode characters, ROMAlyzer fixes (interpret verifications through chdman as file integrity checks only), and improvements and support for additional/new XML data.

Release Notes: This version comes with a great number of major fixes and improvements. Generic support was added for driving a ROM tool for any external processing based on the game/machine ID or its title. Newer XML data formats are now supported when retrieving game/machine details. Experimental support for Qt 4.7 was provided, though one minor embedder-related issue remains. On X11 platforms, the embedder now handles multiple emulators correctly when they are running the same game/machine.

Release Notes: There is an enhanced emulator configuration template format to allow for OS-specific handling of certain options and attributes. The ini importer now cleanly handles white space in string values. The built-in MP3 player received another set of improvements and fixes. QMC2 now better supports Qt 4.6 environments, and major efforts have been made to cleanly support Mac OS X (however, there’s a Qt/Phonon bug on that platform that causes a crash on exit). Emulator configuration templates are in sync with MAME 0.139 and MESS 0.138.

Release Notes: This release adds optional support for catver.ini for all MAME targets and a new ROM types column to all game/machine lists. The exit/stop button now blinks when there’s background activity to indicate the activity itself as well as the button’s seconds function, and a new option (PlayOnSublistActivation) has been added to allow for direct launching of a game/machine when it’s activated in the search, favorites, or played lists. The MP3 player now also handles MP3 streams (just add a valid stream URL instead of a local file name).

Release Notes: Performance improvements were made for ROM state filtering and loading of all cached data. The ROMAlyzer now has built-in support for chdman which can be used to deeply verify, automatically fix, and/or update CHDs. There are new context menus for the main widget’s horizontal and vertical splitters. On X11 only, the embedder now includes a toggle switch to maximize the emulator window.

Release Notes: Emulator configuration widgets now use checkboxes, except for icons in menus. You can now specify a separate font for all log browsers. Also new is support for additional (foreign) emulators that can be used on a per-game/per-machine basis. A Portuguese translation was added. There are many other important bugfixes, work-arounds, and further improvements.
