Release Notes: This release unlocks two more modern 7-Zip compression algorithms. Nautilus and Thunar context menus install at runtime. The start menu entry no longer requires file associations.


Release Notes: This release adds a main dialog redesigned to reduce clutter, a "switches" option to add custom commandline arguments, icons borrowed from the Oxygen theme (when possible), "Verbose" and "Review" menu entries for debugging, a more consistently implemented verbose mode, removal of the tarball option to simplify the execution code, and several minor changes to the code structure. Under Linux, it adds options files to choose preferred external apps, an Autopackage script for all distributions, and support of the XZ format for compression.


Release Notes: The program now looks beneath "~/.config/" for "Lists" and "Profiles". The makefile now checks for the existence of dependencies. Initial integration was added for the context menus in Gnome and Xfce. The documentation is now available in HTML. Support for Dolphin and Konqueror in KDE4 was improved. KDE 3 is no longer officially supported. UDF, XAR, LZMA, and DMG/HFS archives are now recognized for extraction. A new Qt 4.4 event-loop limitation was worked around for cron jobs. The dependencies were raised to Qt 4.4.1 and PyQt 4.4.3 due to bugs in earlier versions.


Release Notes: A manual "Edit" option for lists is now available. Automatic exit is done if an operation fails when in invisible mode. A bug in updating when a proxy env variable is missing was fixed. Checks for updates are no longer done when in invisible mode. Invisible mode no longer loads the QtGui module. A link to the Eric Web site was added to the help menu. Initial, though limited, support for KDE 4 was added. Several changes were made to code structure.


Release Notes: It is now possible to ignore files and directories via wildcards. Lists were provided for storing links to frequently archived directories and files. A list mode can be invoked with the 'L' option to specify a list file at the command line. An 'l' option is used for sending archives to the current drive. In separate mode, a different archive is created for each input. The 'http_proxy' environment variable is now respected while updating. Tests are made for the existence of required external binaries when starting. The position of the main window is now remembered between sessions. MSI and WIM archives are now recognized.


Release Notes: This release added a remote mode 'r' option for sending archives to a mounted remote site. The Konq Service Menu now includes a separator and reordered entries. An error message is now displayed when the failed operation returned nothing. An error message after the user cancels a profiling operation was removed. The ".txt" extension is now enforced when saving profiles. The status strip message was improved in certain cases. Operation feedback is now slightly more accurate. Several minor changes were made to the code structure.


Release Notes: A flash profile was implemented for transporting archives compatibly. The "f" option was added for sending archives to a flash disc. A minor profile relocation problem was fixed.


Release Notes: This release has been renamed to Q7Z since it uses Qt, compresses dialog item spacing in the GUI, makes subtle improvements to the help menu, and checks for newer releases. It's now released under the GNU General Public License v3.


Release Notes: A beneath option for extracting below the destination was added. GNU tar is now used to preserve file permissions on Linux. The Explorer shell menu layout was improved on Windows. An invisible mode for hiding the GUI was provided along with a verbose mode for debugging purposes. Extraction now works properly on Slackware. CheckInstall now has separate scripts for Red Hat, Debian, and Slackware. Possible makefile errors were prevented and possible crashes were fixed. The code structure is now modular for increased efficiency.


Release Notes: During installation, you mu must now "cd Build/ ; make" first in Linux. MS Windows support was added. Profiles were implemented to increase efficiency and variety. Documentation is now available from the Help menu. Spanned archives are now recognized. The toolbar was removed to speed up code execution. The executable's extension was renamed to .pyw. Several minor code structure changes were made.
