PyOSD

PyOSD enables you to display 'On Screen Display' messages through Python. It can be used by anything that needs your attention, such as showing the song currently playing in a Python-based MP3 player.

    Release Notes: Support for displaying non-Western fonts (Russian, Japanese, etc.), and a number of new features since the last announcement here.

      Release Notes: Compile support was added against xosd 1.0.0, which has the previously distributed patches rolled in. The daemon code now works with recent twisted versions.

        Release Notes: A 'daemon' has been added to aid in the display of multiple messages without them overlapping each other. Some example modules for battery status and volume control are distributed too.

          Release Notes: A bug when using a readline-enabled interactive interpreter has been resolved, and the modified xosd makefile should now be free of errors for those of you who don't have XMMS.

            Release Notes: This release has support for changing attributes like the font on the fly. Concurrent instances can now display information at the same time, and there are some fixes which should make the library more robust.
