Psi is a program for connecting to the Jabber messaging network. It supports multiple accounts, group chat, and translations (using Unicode). Client/server encryption is supported through SSL.

Release Notes: The default text input line in the chat dialogs starts at one line tall, and grows as necessary. The Roster can now be automatically resized to fit all contacts. The menu bar is now available on the roster. Tabbed chat windows were implemented. On Windows and Mac OS X, selected text may be automatically copied to the clipboard. Mac OS X builds now enjoy Growl(.info) support. Photos are now available in the VCard dialog. Roster and chat dialog now support transparency. GPG passphrases are now cached during the entire Psi session.

The tray icon under X11 should now be more beautiful. Showing self-contact is now done through a toolbar button instead of a normal option. There is now an option for all chat windows to be compact by default. A bug in which file transfer sometimes wouldn't send the whole file was fixed. Many other small bugs were fixed.
Release Notes: Message events work with PGP enabled. The 'Show self' icon is in the default toolbars. The accounts combo box (used in file transfer and group chat) is fixed. The small chats option should behave more intuitively. IDs are put on all outgoing messages (as required by message events). The local nick is changed after a nick change in group chats. There are various X:Data fixes. This release compiles with Qt 3.1 again.
