PrinterSetup

PrinterSetup is a flexible printer setup system. It is tailored to institutions with more than 20 deployed printers. It is designed to work with CUPS on Mac OS X. PrinterSetup is a component of PrintingWorks, a print accounting solution. There is limited documentation. Apple package deployment requires Mac OS X 10.3 or later, and is untested on earlier versions. Apple package development requires Mac OS X 10.5 or later and Xcode 3.0 or later.

    Release Notes: This release adds an example droplet that allows batch generation of Apple install packages, which will set a default printer on the target system. It also features improvements to the dynamic configuration system by adding space detection for Mac OS X network location names. Now it is possible to make dynamic printing changes even if a network location name contains spaces. Various bugfixes, including fixes for CUPS export to Printer Setup Files. Exports for RAW queues are now handled even on older versions of CUPS.
